Pam Blevins Hinkle is an improviser, singer, flutist, composer, choral conductor, and director of the annual Spirit & Place Festival. Her work and her passion is about creating beauty, building community, and exploring connections between creativity and spirit, between disciplines, between places and people, and more.
She is a member of THIN AIR, a 5-piece ensemble that draws from an extensive vocal and instrumental repertoire to create improvised performances out of “thin air” – often with extensive audience participation! Pam is a 2003 recipient of the Creative Renewal Arts Fellowship from the Arts Council of Indianapolis and a 2014 recipient of an Individual Artist Grant from the Indiana Arts Commission. She was one of 12 artists selected in 2014 to participate in the inauguralReligion, Spirituality and the Arts Seminar, a project of Butler University and Christian Theological Seminary.
