So often so many of us are struck by an idea that may seem small, at first. We ruminate on whether it’s even worth pursuing or how can something so miniscule make an impact. It is precisely those kinds of initiatives that we, at TEDxIndianapolis, want to pursue. This year’s theme is not just about ideas, but rather about making ideas happen and making them scale.
This year’s theme—Scale It Up—is all about how ideas, efforts, approaches, and programs around the world may start small but shift and expand, replicate, multiply, and drive positive change.
On April 25, 2017 at Butler University, you will find speakers from Indiana to UK sharing their Big Ideas and thoughts that can be scaled up locally, nationally and globally. These ideas range from placemaking to epigenetics, design thinking / consumer experience to artificial intelligence and immigration to blockchain.
The planning team, headed by Jim Walker (Big Car Executive Director) and Chris Carpenter (Staff Project Manager at Beckman Coulter) and includes The Heritage Group, IUPUI Arts and Humanities Institute and our venue Butler University who are all passionate about the potential for ideas that germinate on this stage and can be amplified to make a difference globally.
Look forward to seeing you at Howard L. Schrott Center for the Arts (at Butler University) on April 25th!
