The important details: What to eat, where to stay

Out of town and need a place to stay prior to or after TEDx Indianapolis? The Canterbury Hotel is the official hotel of TEDx Indianapolis 2013.  And any attendee coming from out of town can book a room for $135 at The Canterbury October 20-22.  (This is about $25 below the usual rate for this hotel.) Mention “TEDxIndianapolis” and “Big Car” to get the rate!

Already wondering what you’re going to eat for lunch (who isn’t???)? You’ll have two options on the day of the event:

1. For an extra $10, you can add lunch onto your ticket and choose one of the following mouthwatering options from two of Indy’s best eateries:

The Libertine

Vegetarian option:
Roasted Sweet Potato Banh Mi–Amelia’s French bread, pickled fall vegetables, chickpea pate
Fresh Fried Potato Chips
Pumpkin Snickerdoodles

Omnivore:
Smoking Goose Turkey Reuben–sauerkraut, Swiss, housemade special sauce
Fresh Fried Potato Chips
Pumpkin Snickerdoodles

Duos

Vegetarian:
Amelia’s Foccacia w/ goat cheese, marinated peppers, red onion, & fresh basil
Side of orzo pasta w/ roasted veggies & lemon viniagrette
Bag of potato chips

Omnivore:
Smoking Goose City Ham w/ Jalapeno Mayo, Pickled Blueberry, Toasted Almond & Arugula on Amelia’s Ciabatta.
Side of orzo pasta w/ roasted veggies & lemon viniagrette
Bag of potato chips

2. Not feeling either of those? Get some fresh air (and brave the lines) to purchase your own meal for lunch. There are several options within walking distance of the Hilbert Circle Theatre, including Qdoba, Jimmy Johns and Penn Station. Check out this map of area restaurants.
